Nicole was cast in the reading of the play "Surely Goodness and Mercy" by Chisa Hutchinson. Directed by Tamilla Woodard at Keen Company.


OCTOBER 2017


Nicole was cast in Anna Deavere Smith and the Institute on the Arts and Civic Dialogue at NYU's event "Hidden Hate / Hidden Love: A Preview Evening." Nicole will be reading from the play "The Duchess of Stringtown," written by Michelle Jones and Anastazia Schmid and directed by          Elena Araoz. 



Nicole was cast in Noor Theatre's reading of the play "330 Pegasus: A Love Letter," by Melis Aker and directed by Kim Kerfoot at New York Theatre Workshop.


SEPTEMBER 2017


Nicole was cast in Labyrinth Theater Company's LAB25: Full Circle reading series.  She will be reading the play "Nov. 5, 2008: POST-RACIAL AMERICA DAY ONE or, "Help! I'm trapped in a play about the black experience, written by a white woman, and I can't get out!" written by   Kristina Poe and directed by Webb Wilcoxen.



APRIL 2017


Nicole was cast in the reading of "All's Well That Ends Well" for Oregon Shakespeare Festival's

Play on! project.




JULY 2016


Nicole was in the play "She She She" conceived by Carrie Heitman, created by writer Virginia Grise, director Elena Araoz, visual artist Susan Zeeman Rogers and the performing ensemble of Hook & Eye Theater.  Part of the 2016 Ice Factory Festival at the New Ohio Theatre.



JUNE 2016



Nicole was in the reading of the play "Johanna: Facing Forward" written by Tlaloc Rivas and directed by Mariana Carreño King at Repertorio Español. 



MAY 2016


Nicole was cast in the table reading of a new play by Matthew Paul Olmos at Ensemble Studio Theatre.  Director: Elena Araoz.

Nicole did readings of new works by playwrights Jeff Augustin and Kimber Lee for Playwrights' Workshop at the Lark.

Nicole played the role of "Yonelle" in the reading of the play "Blue School" by Martha Wollner and directed by Page Burkholder for LAByrinth Theater Company's Company Intensive.   CAST: Nicole Aiken, Liza Colon-Zayas, Kevin Geer, Kimberly Kaye, Margaret Ladd, Florencia Lozano, Kelly Rae O'Donnell, Portia, Joselin Reyes and Yolanda Ross.

Nicole played "Adriana" in the reading of the play "Scraps" by Geraldine Inoa for the Primary Stages ESPA First Draft Reading Series.  Directed by TJ Weaver. 


 

Nicole did a reading of the play "The Wedding Gift" by Chisa Hutchinson at Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey.  Directed by Rodney Gilbert.

Nicole did a reading of a new screenplay by Derrick Anthony at New York Women in Film and Television (NYWIFT).

Nicole played the role of "Shanika" in the Roundtable Reading of the play "Father Joe Brown is Alive" by Emily Bohannon at the Lark Play Development Center.

Nicole was cast in The Actors Studio's Playwrights/Directors Unit Festival reading of the play "Vesey Street," written by Mark Borkowski and directed by Salvatore Inzerillo.

Nicole played the role of "Reporter" in the NYU/Tisch Thesis Film "Park 51," directed by Christopher Capelluto.




MAY 2013


Nicole plays the roles "Drunk Woman/Elvis" in the world premiere of the play "Alondra Was Here" by Chisa Hutchinson.  Directed by Jade King Carroll.  Playing at The Wild Project from May 4-18.
 


 
Nicole was cast in the 14th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival.  She will be playing the roles of "Miss Brady" and "Girl" in the play "Teach Me to Cry," by William J. Schneider.  Directed by Gerald vanHeerden. 



APRIL 2013
 
Nicole was cast in the Lark Play Development Center's Studio Retreat reading of the play "Stepping," by August Schulenburg.  Directed by Lisa Rothe.  Nicole will be playing the role of "Chorus."  Reading takes place April 3 and April 4 at 7pm.  



Nicole was cast in the Lark Play Development Center's Playwright's Playground.  Participating writers are Michael Bradford, Mariana Carreno King, Christopher Oscar Pena and Stefanie Zadravec.  Directors are Shelley Butler, Isis Misdary and Lisa Rothe.

Nicole was cast in LAByrinth Theater Company's New York New York Festival.  She will be playing the role of "Kahlu" in the reading of the play "The Sun Always Shines for the Cool," by Miguel Piñero.



 
Nicole was cast in the role of "Music Student" in the reading of the play "Street Scene," by  Elmer Rice for LAByrinth Theater Company's New York New York Festival.    



Nicole was cast as "Danielle" in the workshop of the play "Mama's Gonna Buy You," by Chisa Hutchinson.  Director: Elyzabeth Gorman.

Nicole was cast in the Lark Play Development Center's Roundtable Reading of a new play by Jackie Sibblies Drury.


 
Nicole played roles in the readings of new material by Dominique Morisseau and Rogelio Martinez at the Lark Play Development Center's Playwrights' Workshop.
 


 
Nicole was cast in the the world premiere of the play "Alondra Was Here," by Chisa Hutchinson.  Director: Jade King Carroll.  Production will take place at The Wild Project from May 4 - May 18, 2013.
